21 December 2010Under the title 'For Qatar We Gather', QSCCB celebrated Qatar National Day on Monday 20, Dec. 2010. Blind and visually impaired members hosted the event which included a PowerPoint presentation about Shaikh Jassim Ben Mohammed Al-Thani, Founder of Qatar, and achievements accomplished under the auspices of the wise leadership of HH Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, and HH Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Heir Apparent.
Role of Social Relations and Developing the Skills of Blind Women
24 April 2009QSCCB had organized on Wednesday 22/4/2009 a workshop titled: "Role of Social Relations and Developing the Skills of Blind and Visual Impaired Women" by Dr. Awatif Al-Enazy, Member of Social and Cultural Committee and Treasurer of Kuwait Blind association, and the Rapporteur of Women Committee of the Arab Blind Federation.
Training Course on HAL
15 April 2009QSCCB, in cooperation with the Supreme Council of Information & Communication Technology, has organized on Sunday 12/4/2009, with the participation of seven blind, a training course on HAL software which allows them to use the computer and Internet normally as it converts the texts into a voice.
