Qatar Social and Cultural Center for Blind Celebrates Qatar National Day
Under the title 'For Qatar We Gather', QSCCB celebrated Qatar National Day on Monday 20, Dec. 2010. Blind and visually impaired members hosted the event which included a PowerPoint presentation about Shaikh Jassim Ben Mohammed Al-Thani, Founder of Qatar, and achievements accomplished under the auspices of the wise leadership of HH Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, and HH Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Heir Apparent.
The celebration was attended by QSCCB Board Members and guests: Qatar Society for People with Special Needs, Qatar Foundation for Orphans, and students from Umm Salal Model Independent School for Boys who performed Qatari folklore.
In the end, Mr. Yousef Muftah, Treasurer, congratulated the leadership, government and people of Qatar. He thanked the audience and gave away souvenirs and Qatar flags.
